C-130 Gunship Deploying Flares

Here is a cool military video of a C-130 deploying decoy flares which leaves smoke behind and ends up resembles a guardian angel.  The C-130 gunship carries 100mm cannons and howitzers and they deploy these flares to provide a decoy to any surface to air or air to air missiles which might be headed toward it.

Jet Vs. Bird

A Canadian Air Force BAE Hawk trainer jet gets hit by a bird in flight. The instructor is in the rear and student in the front. You can see the bird flash by just prior to impacting the engine. You can hear the aircraft voice warning system telling them they have a problem and referring to the “D-6 NL” which means there is no engine RPM.
